Global payments technology company VISA has launched a free one-stop online portal targeted at small- and medium-sized businesses which provides information on major international industry conventions and trade exhibitions (MICE). Known as the VISA MICE Connect, the portal includes a comprehensive directory of over 150 international trade shows and events from around the globe across a range of industries including computers and IT, beauty and cosmetics, fashion, travel and construction.
The portal especially caters to those businesses in Asia looking to grow overseas, and features a dedicated travel consultant service to help them to easily get to destinations of their choice. It’s a great extension of VISA’s business, and a recognition that small and medium enterprises contribute greatly to the business travel industry, and the global economy in general.
Another noteworthy resource is VISA Business Connect, a platform focused on the China market that is specifically aimed at providing small- to medium-sized businesses access to the Chinese government and industry leaders, first-hand insight into local business operations and legislation, as well as specialized business study tours to industrial sites and business centers.
