For many years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has been offering a suite of services geared at helping small businesses get off their feet. Despite criticisms about its programs and deep budget cuts suffered under the Bush administration, the SBA has in its almost 60 years of existence delivered millions of loans, loan guarantees, contracts, counseling sessions and other forms of assistance to small businesses.
