You may think of the cereal box as merely a container to hold your breakfast cereal, but the history in the making of the now ubiquitous and humble breakfast choice and the design of its packaging can hold many lessons – intellectual property rights management and marketing, amongst others – for business types.
Here’s a quirky infographic that takes the piss out of the process how a cereal box is likely to be designed (so take it with a pinch of salt, please). If you’re a designer, you can probably relate. And I love that it pokes fun at how management seems to think fabulous design and marketing is the cure-all for all business woes.
