As part of International Women’s Day (IWD), leading Singapore-based gender equality advocacy group Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) is launching a new Facebook campaign called I AM AWARE to help highlight critical women’s issues in Singapore.
The initiative, a collaboration between AWARE and local digital marketing agency Xpointo Media, aims to raise awareness and understanding of gender-related issues such as social support systems for older women, Singapore’s fertility rate, objectification of women in local media culture, amongst other issues.
There’s a part all of us can play in promoting gender equality here – helping spread the word through this site can be a start.
