Getting Sirius With Singapore SMEs

According to the Straits Times, Sirius Venture Consulting has announced a SGD$30 million venture capital fund targeted at helping Singapore-based SMEs to grow and expand. It aims to invest in some ten to 12 companies by pumping SGD$2-3 million into each one in return for a 20-30 percent equity stake.

Eugene is doing a good thing. Hope its slightly earlier stage, rather than late stage pre IPO, 50% discount to IPO with virtually no value add except cashing out the promoters.

Sure. What do you want to know?
Bottom line is early stage VCs are less than 5, they tend to invest in really high tech, large markets companies. Although there are quite a few in Spore, not all of them understand high tech nor can help you in strategy, hiring or securing the following round.
