Both technology giants Google and Facebook almost always top the list of choice employers for job seekers – career community Glassdoor ranks Google #1 for ‘Best Internship’, and Facebook as #1 for ‘Best to Work’. But for interns they get even more attractive – if you land a coveted internship at either company, you’re looking at a yearly salary of almost US$80,000.
But getting through the door is extremely tough. Google gets roughly 40,000 internship applications, but only 1,500 of those applicants are hired.
