I Am Free Enterprise Video Contest

America Free Enterprise

"America Free Enterprise. Dream Big." aims to create over 20 million jobs in 10 years in the United States.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce believes the answer to creating some 20 million jobs in 10 years is in free enterprise, and has embarked on a “American Free Enterprise. Dream Big.” campaign to stimulate the U.S. economy and grow jobs in the long term.

Enterprise Versus Productivity?

It’s interesting to note that while the U.S believes that the future of its economy is in long term job creation through encouraging enterprise, the Singapore government has chosen to focus on productivity to keep the economy’s growth engine going.

By all means, it’s daunting that Singapore’s productivity has fallen drastically over the last few years. But perhaps we should also be looking at encouraging citizens to become more enterprising.

I Am Free Enterprise Video Contest

In any case, if you are a US. legal resident, the “American Free Enterprise. Dream Big.”  is currently hosting the I Am Free Enterprise Video Contest. If you have successfully launched a business, invented something or created a new product, shoot a 3-minute video explaining what free enterprise means to you and submit it to the contest. They are offering US$100,000 cash prizes in total for the most innovative, creative, and compelling stories.

Submission deadline is 9 April 2010. Terms and conditions apply.
