eCornell’s Entrepreneur Video Contest

Cornell University’s eCornell is inviting current and aspiring entrepreneurs to participate in its eCornell Entrepreneur Online Video Contest for emerging product developers and designers.

From now to November 30, entrepreneurs who are developing (or have already developed) a new product or service can submit a 30- to 60-second video that explains or demonstrates their process for understanding what customers want and satisfying their needs. See here for contest rules.

The first-place winner will receive a full scholarship (worth US$3,500) for Cornell’s newest online certificate program, A Systems Approach to Product and Service Design, which arms entrepreneurs with a unique eight-step process for effective product development. Second- and third-place winners will have the opportunity to enroll in two eCornell product design courses each, free of charge (worth US$1,250 per course).

Winners will be announced on December 14, 2009 and will be selected based on quality of response, creativity, and methodology.

US legal residents aged 18 and above only.

What a great challenge! If you’re stuck for ideas… I’d like to share something (sorry if this is a cross-posting)

I am a huge fan of talk radio, and am also a business person constantly looking for
sound ideas for income strategies. So when I heard Janet Switzer (marketing mogul for the Chicken Soup Series) on Conversations Live with Vicki St.Clair recently it was really inspiring. Conversations Live with Vicki St.Clair is hosted on Seattle’s KKNW every Monday, noon PT.

On this segment, Janet Switzer introduced her new book called Instant Income: Strategies that bring in Cash for Small Businesses, Innovative Employees, and Occasional Entrepreneurs. The book and her radio interview shares some 20 years of marketing and advertising experience that’s invaluable. To learn all about her proven business tips for yourself, you can listen to the full podcast here:

This is an awesome contest, and although I don’t have a product I could use to submit, I do motion graphics and product tour videos you could see some samples here.

I’d love to help those out there that have a great product idea they would like to submit to the contest but don’t know how to make it look professional or give the “wow” factor to make the idea stand out…

Contact Noel from for information on how we can get your project started

    Thanks and Regards
