Entrepreneurship Week India 2009: India Goes Green
It’s Entrepreneurship Week India 2009 this week, and organizer National Entrepreneurship Network (a non-profit initiative under the Wadhwani Foundation), is set to rock school campuses across the country with the theme of sustainable entrepreneurship. More than 400,000 students and professionals will participate over 3,000 entrepreneurial activities and events across India, making this possibly the largest ever country-wide coordinated campaign designed to spread the idea of entrepreneurship in any country.
Responsible entrepreneurship, sustainable technologies and green businesses are terms many young Indians across the country will hear over and over again this whole week. Much of the activities will focus on going green, with panel discussions, workshops, seminars, rallies, free emission checks and even ‘green’ fashion shows.
You can follow National Entrepreneurship Network‘s blogger Shubha Narayanan and photographer Sujith Sujan as they travel to seven cities during the week to record and report on the events taking place across India’s school campuses.
Don’t you wish you had something similar in your country? I know I do.
