“Failure Is The Mother of Success”
Chua Thian Poh is an example of the wise Chinese saying. He had made his first million at 21, and lost everything by 25. Since then, chairman and chief executive of Ho Bee Investments has built a company worth more than S$1 billion. Mr. Chua was just named Businessman of the Year at the Singapore Business Awards, organised by The Business Times and DHL.
“Age and education are no barriers to entrepreneurship,” said Mr. Chua, who went into business after finishing school at the tender age of 16.
“My early failure made me even more hungry and determined,” he added.
